Laureen Kelley
President
Laureen A. Kelley was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and received her bachelor's degree in child psychology and development from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She worked as a psychologist with handicapped children for four years before earning her master's degree in international economics and business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She worked for six years as an economic consultant at DRI/McGraw-Hill in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Laurie is the mother of a child with hemophilia, and founded LA Kelley Communications, Inc. in 1990 to provide practical educational materials for families. She is the author of ten books on bleeding disorders, including Raising a Child With Hemophilia and A Guide to Living With von Willebrand Disease. Laurie is the founder and editor of the quarterly hemophilia magazine Parent Empowerment Newsletter. She also founded Project SHARE, a humanitarian program that donates millions of dollars worth of blood-clotting medicine annually to impoverished patients in developing countries.
Laurie is also founder and chair of Save One Life, a nonprofit child sponsorship agency for children with bleeding disorders in developing countries. She lives in Georgetown, Massachusetts, with her husband Kevin, manager of quality control for New England BioLabs, and their three children: 20-year-old Tommy, who has hemophilia A, 17-year-old Tara, and 14-year-old Mary. Julia Quigley Long
Director, Project SHARE
Julia Quigley Long was born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts. She earned her bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College in Michigan with a major in human development and social relations, and minors in Spanish and economics. She holds a master's degree in international public health from Boston University. For the past several years, Julia has worked with educational and social service projects for organizations such as Brigham and Women's Hospital and Quincy Community Action Programs. Since 2003, she has been the volunteer director of ASAPROSAR Development Fund, a program providing support for The Salvadoran Association for Rural Health in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Julia began working with LA Kelly Communications in January 2005.

Zoraida Rosado
Executive Assistant
Zoraida Rosado grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and has a degree in business administration from Northern Essex Community College. Before joining LA Kelley Communications, Zoraida worked as an executive assistant for Starensier, Inc., where she supported the CEO and vice president of sales. Prior to that, she was an executive assistant for seven years for the financial and information systems departments at Ferraz Shawmut. Zoraida now maintains our extensive mailing lists, assists with Project SHARE, manages our book translations and fulfillment, and coordinates travel plans. Zoraida is fluent in Spanish, and handles all Spanish correspondence and translations.

Sara Prisland Evangelos
Editor, Writer
Sara Prisland Evangelos is a freelance writer and editor. She is a partner in JAS Group Writing and Editorial Services, addressing the communication needs of clients in the area of human services. Sara edits, writes and contributes to books, journals, newsletters, brochures, grant proposals and reports. She is also a published poet. Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in writing and psychology from the University of Illinois, and received advanced training in technical writing and editing from Northeastern University. She has worked for LA Kelley Communications since 1995.

Amanda Wendt
Webmaster
Amanda Wendt is the owner of Mandalin Design, a multimedia production company specializing in web design, video production and staging of live events. Amanda earned her bachelor's degree in communications/ journalism from the University of Connecticut. Prior to opening Mandalin Design, she headed up executive communications for Bayer Pharmaceutical, supporting the video and staging needs of Bayer's president and senior staff. Amanda has produced events for audiences as large as 1,200 and as small as 20. She began working with LA Kelly Communications in 2002.
