Passing of a Young Visionary

I learned this weekend of the passing of a young visionary in our community, Cindy Neveu. Cindy was founder of Shemophilia, a nonprofit for women with hemophilia and other rare bleeding disorders, She was known worldwide for her educational work. You may have met Cindy at any one of a dozen events through the years: at NHF meetings, or local chapter meetings. She was often in a wheelchair but always a bright and active person.

Cindy’s family requested no flowers for her sevice, but instead a gift to one of the her favorite charities:

Heifer Project International
1 World Ave
Little Rock, AR 72202

Friends of Fairmont Animal Shelter
2700 Fairmont Drive
San Leandro, CA 94578

Zion Lutheran School
5201 Park Blvd
Piedmont, CA 94611

Cindy was also the sponsor of a young boy in India with hemophilia, through my nonprofit, Save One Life. If you are reading this and you’d like to become the sponsor of Cindy’s young boy, in her name, please contact me at laurie@kelleycom.com.

You can send messages of condolences to her parents:
Carol & Marvin Neveu
4470 Pleasant Valley Ct.
Oakland, CA 94611

Thanks to Jill Lathrop for sending word of this so quickly to the community. Cindy, we will miss you.
