Free Factor

Bleeding disorder patients need infusions of the blood protein called factor to stop uncontrolled bleeding. There are an estimated 400,000 patients with hemophilia globally. But it’s estimated only about 25% of them receive infusions. Most patients in developing countries do not have access to factor. Even when donations of factor arrives, they are typically given to the hospitals in capital cities, which many families are unable to access, due to financial reasons, geographical challenges and suffering from bleeds.

Maximum Impact assists by shipping factor directly to patients or to those who serve them: nonprofits or medical facilities. We pay the shipping and any customs fees. Founder Laurie Kelley began donating factor overseas in 1996, and started and operated Project SHARE for years before turning it over to Save One Life, Inc. Now she donates factor received from her vast network of US families, hospitals, patients and nonprofits.
