The best kind of charity programs are run by people with hands-on expertise, and have little to no overhead, minimum fundraising expenses, all volunteers, and give direct, 100% support to recipients. That’s what we call Maximum Impact.
Our program was designed to channel factor and funds to needy patients with bleeding disorders in developing countries, without overhead expenses like events, fundraisers, or admin fees.
Laurie Kelley has 30-plus years of experience working with bleeding disorder patients, medical staff and nonprofits in developing countries. She has even helped start hemophilia nonprofits in nine countries. She is the founder of Save One Life, a child sponsorship program for children with bleeding disorders in developing countries. She’s traveled to over 35 developing countries in the last 30 years.
Now, she uses her expertise and personal funding to operate Maximum Impact for Bleeding Disorders (MIBD).
MIBD provides:
Free factor: in 2024 over 5 million IU were shipped to many developing countries.
Surgical support: funding for surgeries like joint replacements, dental work, circumcisions.
Disaster aid: MIBD paid to rebuild a home after the devastating effects of Hurricane Beryl.
Educational Assistance: Computers, school admin fees, and tuition.
